Song of Solomon: inside Guitar's mind

*Disclaimer: Mrs. Valentino joked that I could write about this one time so here I am. I could and probably should just take it as a joke but I keep trying to think of new characters and new perspectives and this is the only thing that is repeatedly coming to my mind. It is haunting me. 

POV: Guitar (part1out of 8 million)

      I truly do not understand why Milkman isn't getting it. Whether we are comfortable with it yet or not, the seven days is the most ethical plan of action we have for creating true justice for black men. Oh well, that is expected from someone who sucks up to the white man and wishes to become them. Disgusting. If only Milkman looked up to me the way he looks up to white men. I mean in a very platonic and role-model way haha. 

      Anyway, today is Tuesday which, to the common non-murdering-white-people-is-my-career man seems like a casual day. Even to someone like Milkman (😍 i mean uh.. 😐💪) who is aware of the Seven Days' intentions, this should be a stress-free day. But on Sunday an innocent black man was killed while skydiving. So now I have to book a skydiving session, make sure one more white adult male is jumping at the same time as me, and somehow find a way to kill him mid-air. I am putting my own life in danger more than ever before with this one and I need to make sure I'm here for Milkman... so that I can keep reminding him of real societal issues and being his friend. I mean truly, Milkman needs me so I can tell him what real love is. 

      Ok fine, I need to be here to tell him the real reason I kill white people on some Sundays is that I want him to notice me. Obviously, it is not efficient enough to maintain a "ratio"... so who else could it be for?

I guess my question is... Fellas, is it gay to kill to get ur homie's attention*? 🙊
